Description:

Progress Rail Services Corporation, a Caterpillar company and leading supplier of parts and services for the railroad industry, is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering  at the Sherman Trackworks plant located in Sherman, TX.  This position is on our 1st shift Monday - Friday and "on call" shifts and/or schedule changes when needed by business demands.

Duties:

The Manager of Manufacturing Engineering is resonsible for:

Managing manufacturing engineers, work schedules and budgets related to the design, intregration and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems.  This includes approving and overseeing the design and implementation process, as well as ensuring work is completed in the required time frame and budget requirements. 

Seek new technologies and automation opportunities in lowering the overall cost of manufacturing. Managing the process through the Manufacturing Engineering Department for Lean-Process Improvement.

 

Qualifications:The ideal candidate will posess a Bachelor's degree in a directly-related field (mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineer) or equivalent experience directly related to supervisory/managerial responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineering. This position requires the knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics PLC & CNC controls. Must have 7-12 years manufacturing and managerial experience.
