| Description: | Progress Rail Services Corporation, a Caterpillar Company and a leading provider of services to the Railroad industry in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, seeks a Locomotive Electrician with experience in repairing and replacing electrical components of Locomotives for our Patterson, Georgia Locomotive Shop. The Locomotive Electrician will be responsible for repairing, replacing and performing work on electrical systems for Locomotives and other duties as assigned in accordance with specialized quality standards and within compliance of the FRA requirements. |
| Duties: | - Evaluate Electrical System in accordance with FRA and Company Standards
- Install/repair/replace electrical systems in compliance with Locomotive requirements
- Evaluate analytical data and permit needs
- Correctly prepare and maintain records/reports
- Up-keep of vendor projects list
- Gather data for sustainable index
- Develop and maintain records and data necessary to evaluate compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Other duties as assigned

| Qualifications: | - Minimum of two-year technical degree in the electrical field is a plus
- Experience directly related to installing, repairing, replacing electrical systems in Locomotives or industrial electrical systems/wiring
- Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of efficiency
- Ability to compose/maintain large amounts of documentation in accordance to FRA Standards
- Be a team player, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Must be able to pass the E-Verify System
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of working on locomotives
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a criminal records review for the last 7 years including felonies and misdemeanors
- Unable to consider any applicants on probation, parole, or diversion programs
- Must be able to pass a fitness for duty medical review and drug test
